Yes, that’s right! In order to shed excess pounds and toxic fat, you would benefit by eating more times throughout the day. Of course, we’re not talking about eating junk food or fast food 6 times a day! We’re talking about giving your body the clean fuel it needs to function at its highest levels of performance.
Eating small, clean meals more frequently throughout the day provides many benefits:
- keeps your energy levels stable
- maintains a steady blood sugar level
- prevents mood swings
- prevents intense cravings for less-than-healthy foods
- increases your Resting Metabolic Rate to help you burn fat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- keeps you from feeling hungry and deprived
In our Nutrition for Wellness seminars, we teach that food choices should ideally come from within “The Healthy Circle” of choices the vast majority of the time. Within this Healthy Circle are:
1. Clean protein sources (choose organic, grass-fed, free-range, etc. whenever possible)
2. Vegetables (fresh, seasonal, organic whenever possible)
3. Fruit (fresh, seasonal, organic whenever possible)
4. Healthy Fats (ultra-refined fish oil is the best place to start, as well as organic flax oil, olive oil and coconut oil… all as pure as possible)
5. Clean drinking water.
6. A small amount of clean dairy and complex carbohydrates rounds off the list.
Can you imagine how healthy you’d be if each of your meals came from within this Healthy Circle? Wow! You’d now longer have any issues with weight or fat loss at all!
We teach our kids to “fill up with health first”. That means you still have plenty of room to make choices when it comes to what you put in your body. If you want ice cream after dinner, for example, then (1) fill up with healthy choices first to ensure your body gets what it needs to thrive, and (2) recognize that a less-than-healthy choice like ice cream won’t move you closer to your fat loss and health goals. In fact, it’ll move you away from your goals.
So, in order to become a Lean, Mean Fat-Burning Machine, choose foods from within “The Healthy Circle” of choices and consume them every few hours. This really fuels your furnace and will drastically help you burn toxic fat and shed unwanted pounds like never before.
